Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh salmon (cut into 4 pieces)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Olive oil and butter for cooking
Instructions
- Remove salmon from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, ginger, Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth (or water), and cornstarch until smooth.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon skin-side down; cook for about 5 minutes.
- Flip the salmon and add the remaining butter. Pour the prepared sauce around the fish, allowing it to bubble and thicken for about 20–30 seconds before removing from heat.
- Spoon the glaze over each piece of salmon and serve immediately.
