  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger. Add chicken pieces and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan on high and sear half the marinated chicken until golden brown. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add tomato sauce, cream, garlic, garam masala, paprika, and salt. Stir for 1 minute.
  4. Add seared chicken (without drippings) to the sauce and simmer for 20 minutes until cooked through.
