Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
- 15-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 teaspoons garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon table salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger. Add chicken pieces and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a nonstick pan on high and sear half the marinated chicken until golden brown. Repeat with remaining chicken.
- In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add tomato sauce, cream, garlic, garam masala, paprika, and salt. Stir for 1 minute.
- Add seared chicken (without drippings) to the sauce and simmer for 20 minutes until cooked through.
