This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for busy weeknights and special occasions alike. Infused with the zesty flavors of Dijon mustard and lemon, along with a hint of spice, this dish elevates your dinner experience to gourmet status. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s a one-pan wonder that requires minimal cleanup while delivering maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz linguine
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the linguine until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for about 5–6 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove from heat, allow to rest briefly, then slice into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add butter. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and chicken broth; simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer for another 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the sliced chicken back into the skillet along with drained linguine; toss everything together to coat evenly with sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
