Instructions

  2. Add flour, beaten egg, melted butter, and salt; mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead for 10–12 minutes until smooth and elastic; let rise for about one hour.
  4. Divide risen dough into 16 equal pieces and shape into balls; flatten slightly.
  5. Stack two flattened pieces together and roll out; coat in semolina.
  6. Allow dough to rise again for 30 minutes before cooking in a preheated skillet until golden brown.
  7. Sauté steak with spices, onions, and peppers until cooked; add cheese until melted.
  8. Fill warm rolls with beef mixture.
