Ingredients
- 1½ cups half and half
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 pound russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 7 ounces Sincerely, Brigitte garlic basil cheese, grated
Instructions
- In a medium pot over medium heat, combine half and half, garlic, and bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes before removing bay leaf and garlic.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray an 8×8-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Layer ingredients: Pour some cream mixture into the baking dish, then add overlapping potato slices, basil, cheese, and seasoning. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown on top. Broil for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Serve immediately garnished with fresh basil.
