Ingredients
- 4 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 & 2/3 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup patriotic sprinkles
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened) for frosting
- 2 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar for frosting
- Pinch of sea salt for frosting
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting
- 1 & 1/2 tablespoons whole milk for frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla. Gradually mix in the flour mixture and fold in sprinkles.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared dish and bake for 25–28 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, whip together softened butter, powdered sugar, sea salt, vanilla extract, and milk until fluffy.
