  • 1 pound boneless beef round steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes (un-drained)
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 chopped yellow bell pepper
  • 1 chopped orange bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef and cut into four pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the steak on both sides.
  3. Transfer browned steak to a crockpot. In a bowl, mix stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce; pour over the meat. Top with chopped peppers.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours until tender.
