  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 24 tbsp milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla; combine with dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead on a floured surface until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled.
  4. Prepare the filling by combining softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly; roll tightly and slice into pieces.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise again before baking until golden.
