Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp food coloring of your choice
- 1 1/2 cups holiday sprinkles
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugars on medium speed until blended.
- Gradually add butter and vanilla until combined.
- Form the dough into a ball and divide it into two equal portions.
- Color one portion with food coloring and roll both between wax paper to about 11 x 9 inches thick.
- Chill the dough for at least an hour.
- Stack the colored dough on top of the uncolored one, seal edges, and roll into a jelly-roll shape coated in sprinkles.
- Chill again before slicing into rounds.
- Bake at 350°F for 15-17 minutes until golden.
