Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Roll 2–3 tablespoons of dough into balls and place them spaced apart on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still appear slightly underbaked.
Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
