Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips 12 oz

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Roll 2–3 tablespoons of dough into balls and place them spaced apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still appear slightly underbaked.
  • Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
