Cook the Pasta – Prepare the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sauté Onions and Garlic – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, then sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Cook the Chicken – Add butter to the skillet, followed by the chicken pieces. Season with Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
Make the Sauce – Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Add Tomatoes and Pasta – Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and cooked pasta, tossing everything until well coated in the creamy sauce.
Serve – Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
